Blepharoplasty

Including corrections of entropion and ectropion

What is blepharoplasty

Cosmetic surgery of the eyelid and periorbital region is called Blepharoplasty. It is a surgical procedure aimed at restoring the physiological function of this anatomical district and giving it a more youthful appearance.

In some cases, where there is a true pathological alteration, for example in eyelid ptosis (also called blepharocalasia), ectropion and entropion as well as in the presence of endo-orbital or peri-orbital tumors the indication for surgery is a real necessity.

This minor surgical procedure can be done alone or in conjunction with a face or brow lift, so that sagging and wrinkles in the entire anatomical region are also treated. Sometimes, there is a need for Chemical Peeling as a complementary procedure aimed at achieving a more youthful appearance in the facial area.

NOTE: In smokers, the recovery time is usually prolonged and the risk of complications is higher
